Serious Progress w/ Proof

I cook something every day. Peter eats about half of it, maybe more. It's kinda tricky...I'm learning to cook plus eat GDE free all at the same time. It's been a great adventure though. Tonight I made Peter roasted red potatoes. When I adjusted the recipe for the amount of potatoes I had on hand, I forgot to adjust the amount of rosemary. Whoops. Peter was very loving and said, "The potatoes are cooked just perfectly. Did you use the right amount of rosemary though?" You know the answer. After he left for work and I finished making my dinner, I tried a bite of the leftover potatoes. Oh my goodness!!! I thought I took a bite out of the ground at a Christmas tree lot. I immediately texted him apologizing for the fact that I tried to feed him a national forest for dinner. He laughed and told me to save them for a meal tomorrow. . I bet he will douse them with ketchup.
Almost every time I cook, something ends up on the floor. Some recent gravity victims: cartoon of blueberries, 75% of my bottle of rosemary, anything I chop. I've had some realizations lately though that lead me to believe I might be turning into a cooker...
1. I might as well leave my cutting board out because I use it so often
2. I absolutely love my knives (thanks grandma & pa T)
3. I'm getting better at chopping
4. I now know that paprika is a powder. For some reason I was expecting something like tabasco sauce; so when the guy looked at me like I was crazy when I couldn't find it in alphabetical order at the store I only felt 95% stupid.
5. I frequent the store for fruits & vegetables
6. I no longer live in Costco's frozen section
7. I need more counter space + deeply miss the ability to hang my pots on the wall like at Victoria. :(
8. My stovetop is always dirty.

Can you believe that?!?!?! That's some serious proof.
Want a weight update? Bummer that there isn't one! So, you know, I was totally rockin it, droppin like a fly but then....I got crafty and tried out some GDE free cookies. Well, despite the fact that the ingredients were healthier, the fiber content was higher and the sugar was organic...sugar is sugar and my body said no thanks. Blast. Not to fret though! I have been sugar free for two days now and expect to be back on track tomorrow or the next day. I'd like to have a blood test to see what is really happening in my body. I think I will make an appointment tomorrow. I need a physical anyway.
xo, p&l
