breakfast: a smoothie with almond milk, strawberries, dash of peanut butter & flaxseed (watch out, it will have you in the potty by recess)
snack: grapes & cherries
lunch: canned chicken, with pinto beans and crushed black pepper
snack: handful of veggie chips
dinner: gluten free waffle with a drop of raw maple syrup & a swipe of peanut butter.
Now I am off to the store to get my supplies. Lots of veggies, fruit, ezekiel bread, halibut, shrimp, beans...I've got a whole list. What I love about the 2 new cookbooks I got (written by the doctors mentioned bellow) is that they are basic ingredients that I have heard of before and can be used in a variety of recipes the following days. They are not hard and let's face it- I need easy!
I'm detoxing, seeing if I have any mild food sensitivities to GDE, seeing if I feel any different without them, losing weight, reading books, getting back to my roots (going more organic), and trying out Saddleback Church's DanielPlan. The two doctors I am reading from are Dr. Daniel Amen and Dr. Mark Hyman. The first is a brain doctor and the second is a holistic doctor. Interesting stuff! I've been learning about GDE for over two years now and thought I'd try it out myself. I don't anticipate any earth shattering discoveries but I am interested to see how it effects (or doesn't effect) my mood, irritability, tiredness, motivation, metabolism, headaches, dry skin, sleep, and runny nose.
Enough chatter, time to grab a shopping cart! I'll be at Trader Joe's if anyone needs me.
xo, p&l
