The weather was certainly frightful, but our fire was so delightful. While I was baking, relaxing, warming by the fire and the like, Peter was hard at work the past two nights. The first of those two nights was the more eventful though. At 4 AM, water came gushing into patients' rooms. All of the rooms that boardered the outdoor courtyards got a nice little wake up call when water and mud came pouring in. It then proceed to form rivers in the hallways and intrude on other patients in nearby rooms. Nervously, Peter tred through the water hoping no electrical would cause serious devasation as he continued carring for his patients. Then the power went out. For 5 minutes, the grumpy, unfaithful generator huffed and puffed in effort to provide enough life for the hospital to function. In the end, I believe no one was harmed but much damage to the building was done. It was quiet an event. When Peter wakes up he can proof read and make sure I got all the details right.
