Happy turkey day!!!! For our first Thanksgiving, (is he the pilgrim and I'm the indian?) we will spending the morning with his family and then at approximately 3:00 going over to Grandma Alden's house. We are so thankful our families are close so that we can share our time with each.
The other day we were in the community spa and we had a great five minute chat that started like this,
L: I hear holidays are hard on newlyweds as they figure out where to go and who to be with. Let's avoid that conflict. Now, what are your expectations for Thanksgiving?
It was great! Both our thoughts were shared, opinions heard, and feelings valued.
Another thought we shared with each other last night...we both think Thanksgiving is a little over-rated. I guess that's why we had no problem decorating for Christmas last week!!

I tend to think Thanksgiving is a bit overrated too...I MUCH prefer Christmas. We finally get to decorate the house tomorrow for Christmas, which is always lovely. Happy Thanksgiving to you both!
