As you have seen, we used that time to work around the house and buy & return stuff. We also had some visitors over and caught up on the first 7 shows of Amazing Race. If you're curious, we are rooting for team Kentucky and team Jewelry. Brooke & Mallory are our favorites. They crack us up. We were rooting for team Taiwan but he wasn't nice to his Dad and we're not into that. Needless to say, we are eager for Sunday night now that we're "in the game".
After all our time together, I still put a request in for a date. So, today we dated. We were going to take the bike for a ride along the coast and then go out to eat. Peter wanted to be back by 3 though to nap before work. I woke up at 10am and drifted back off to sleep for a few more minutes. Next clock check- it was 1:30! What!! We reverted back to our old ways-- stay up super late (1-2am) and then sleeping the day away. Change of plans. We had hot dogs for breakfast/lunch, watched last week's episode of Amazing Race and then went to the Jacuzzi. Peter loves(ssss) the jacuzzi. Me, not so much...I like it for the first 5 minutes and then I'm cooked. Peter stays in for hours sometimes. Next we got a little fussied up and headed to the Outback- hot darn!
After dinner I mentioned picking up some garland at Costco for our holiday decor. Guess who took me to Costco! We left with 36 feet of light up, pinecone-filled garland, President George Bush's new book, and peanut butter bars for lunch time goodness. A short 15 minutes later we were both lying there, side-by-side, with a book in hand. It was the perfect ending to a great week.
You know who is excited to decorate for christmas?!?!?! PETER! I know, I know, you said me- but Peter is the one standing in the front yard plotting Christmas light strands. We will be all decked out after Thanksgiving and in time for our OPEN HOUSE (DEC 5th 2-5pm all are welcome). Invitations coming soon. If your's gets lost in the mail, let me know and I'll get you the address.
xo, p&l
We are SO excited for our first Christmas. I already got a "Our First Christmas" ornament at Bed, Bath & Beyond with our wedding gift cards.
Dear honey, Hope you are having a fabulous night at work. Your new scrubs look awesome on you! Thank you for a fabulous week, wonderful dinner, and cozy, cinnamon-scented reading time together! See you at 8 AM!
I have to just say that The Amazing Race is my favorite show...and I also really like the two teams you mentioned. I also kind of like Nick and Vicki, more for their entertainment value than for anything else, because they don't tend to be the brightest team... :)
ReplyDeleteOh man! We can't believe team Vegas is still in it! They are not on our favorites list. We've noticed we never really like the dating couples. I'm just waiting for that one guy to propose after one of their many arguments.
