To the Store...again

1. I feel like I live at Bed, Bath & Beyond. I think the people at the return counter are starting to recognize me. Every other day I'm in there or at least it feels like it. I was there last night and realized when I got home they returned one of my items and forgot to give me the 45 bucks cash back. Awesome. Guess where I'll be once this post is published.

2. After I go to BB&B I will be picking up our Christmas cards & Open house invites. I have been working on these a few weeks now. I really wanted to do something cool, clever & different but all the sites (minus Costco) are so expensive and I couldn't justify it. So, Costco cards it is! I tried to be at least a pinch unique with it though so it didn't look like everyone else's card this season. I was so excited to make our first Christmas card! What a blessing to be our own family! (sigh)

3. We have been a little curtain crazy over here. I shopped online for a while one night and then headed to World Market & Pier1 to touch and feel my favorites. Not wanting to spend a lot of $$ and having not the slightest clue about curtains, I wandered in circles trying to figure out what to do with our 3 windows in the living room. I even asked a poor, innocent shopper near me if she knew anything about curtains. She pleaded the 5th. I bought 5 panels. I know, readers with excellent comprehension skills caught that....3 windows, 5 panels. I thought for the smallest window I would just do 1 panel. Is that allowed? I chose a decorative sheer pattern for the 2 windows with blinds and a green for the sliding glass door. We have blinds on the windows, hence my decision to go light so the room stays "open". Got home, the green looks terrible with the green couch. Blast.
Next day- I return the green and wander back through Pier1. I found the jackpot! There was a treasure chest (more like an open trunk that was also for sale) with curtains on clearance! I had missed it the day before. Original price $70. My price $17. DONE! They had 4 options and I bought them all. There was no telling in the store so I lugged them all to the register. Once home, Peter and I took turns holding them up and voting. The one I liked the least in the store looked best up! Go figure.

4. While I was curtain hunting, Peter was riding bikes with the neighborhood and we met up at Home Depot after. We bought some plants for the balcony, shelves to put up in the laundry room, dry wall anchors, and a cap for under the kitchen sink (we had some major water trouble and Peter had to tear out the cabinet floor under the sink- their are some mishaps around here, too). We closed the place down and then went back in to buy one more thing we forgot. Ya, we were those really annoying shoppers.

All this to say, I feel like all I do is shop, return, & go back again to price adjust with a coupon I found in the trunk! Speaking of which, I've got 3 stores to hit before Grandma and Pa T come over!

See ya!
