Visitors! Visitors! Visitors galore! and we love it! Peter took his NLCEX Thursday afternoon and while he was taking it, I was making plans for our following days. I called all three Grandmas to book a date with each of them. I am big on grandparents, grandparent time, and learning/listening to them. I love my grandparents! So I wanted to honor them by having them over as our first visitors. Grandma and Pa Alden came Saturday night. Grammy taught me how to make chimmy chungas at our house which was awesome. I love learning + quality time. Grandma and Pa Terry came over the following day and we went to Mimi's and then cruised down the boardwalk by the Balboa pier. We love were we live and it's great to share it with the people we love. On our way home I got to show off my new favorite market--Grower's Direct--yummy, inexpensive fruit & veggies. On Tuesday, Grandad and Grandma June came and we hung out at our house eating chocolate covered fruit. The CCF (I just made that up) came from our dear friend Kay to congratulate Peter on passing his test and becoming an RN! Once we were almost full, we headed over to a Maggiano's to celebrate his HUGE accomplishment. Man did we have an awesome time with our Gpas and Mas!
Tonight we had our first party! It was just our immediate family (minus 3) :( but that's enough for a party- 12! We had a "YAY Peter's an RN party!" Peter picked BJ's for his party dinning pleasure and we just had a fabulous time. I love the one down by the Balboa pier because it is so tiny and quaint. Bonus- the hostess asked for my cell number and she would call me when they were ready for us (30 min wait). This was great because we got to wait out on the pier and people watch/chat instead of sitting/standing in the tiny waiting area. Loved it. Dinner was great. Dessert was delicious. Then, we came back to our house to watch our wedding video. It was very fun to watch it with (almost) everyone. I loved every minute of the wedding!
Tomorrow Peter will probably be applying for more jobs (4 apps went out to St. Joseph's today) and who knows what I'll be doing. Saturday is my Auntie Jana's memorial. Sunday is my Cousin Jan's wedding and then we will be going to Forest Home for a few days where Peter will be the camp nurse! Whoo! Go Honey!
