Back to School Night x2

Tonight and tomorrow night I am going back to school. I will be meeting the staff and the parents of the students I will be working with this next year. Pretty exciting stuff. Peter will be working the next three nights in a row. BLAST! It's a funny gig we're in. He has been off the past five days and I haven't started my job so it feels like we are still free birds. Monday morning we woke up and said, "What should we do today?" Camping, of course! So that's what we did. We packed up the car and headed east. Just because we can! I'll do a full post on it once I get my camera out of the car-- you guys have been without pictures for a few posts now, sorry about that.
Today we made a disastrous lunch. Peter just carried the pan straight out to the dumpster- that bad! I hate raw meat. I especially hate to touch it. Well, we had some frozen sausages and it was impossible to break just 2 off so we decided to try to thaw and cook them all. The whole process probably took 30 minutes (we were making mac and cheese and soup at the same time). We finally got them mostly separated and in the pan as the instructions read. Back at the kitchen table, we finished our Netflix movie (lovin that thing more than ever). 10 or so minutes later we check out the pan. The nasty raw meat has only gotten nastier. There was white foam junk all over and Peter and I just stared at it in disgust. The question was exchanged- "Are you going to eat that?" "No" "Well, if you're not, I'm not going to!" I know if Peter is sicked out by the meat...it's really bad. Case in point: Peter just asked what I was blogging about. "Our lunch" Ew gross! I may be permanently turned off to hot dogs. hahaha. Yep, it was disastrous, as previously stated.

Frozen pizza for dinner anyone??

xo, p&l
