Unexpected Surprises

Have I mentioned that I really like the snow? I love watching it, hiking in it, sleeping on it, and with the awesome weather we had I couldn't wait to return to it. So I made plans to do so with my best friend Ben on Saturday but we weren't the only ones itching to head to the mountains. After driving nearly an hour we were met with a 12 mile long line of cars stopped and waiting to drive up Mt. Baldy Road. Bummer. That effectively elliminated the hope of climbing to the summit but it turns out God had some pretty cool oportunites instead.

While driving home from the mountain I spotted the big orange balloon; why not go for a ride? It turned out to be the perfect day: clear, green, and a rare blanket of snow on Saddleback Mountain. I can't wait to take Laura up when she gets home, only 3 more days!!

We then spent the rest of the day hanging out around my house until Ben got a call from a friend who had 2 extra tickets to the Supercross race in Anehiem that night. With a hour and a half before it started we had to drive from Foothill to La Mirada to pick up the tickets and then back to Angel Stadium. It was Ben's first time at Supercross and it has been years since I have been so needless to say we were excited. To add to the excitement check out our seats!
