Vroom Vroom

We have been enjoying "FJ". I'm not sure if I'm sold on that name but for the time being...it's FJ (from it's true name- YamahaFJR1300). Peter has been riding it everywhere. He loves going to work. He peeks at it in the parking lot on his breaks. Yesterday, we took a cruise through the canyon with Nathan in front or behind us on a borrowed motorcycle. We waved to all the other bikers and felt really cool. We learned that if a motorcyclist pats his head, it means there is a cop up ahead. We got a few pats and then discovered 4 motorcycle cops. Yes, I waved at the moto cop and he definitely waved back. We are totally cool bikers now.

For the evening, we headed down to Balboa Island were we met up with Grandma and Pa Alden plus the padres. We walked around and looked at all the cute houses and gardens then went to Islands for dinner. Everyone came to our house after for ice cream and a picture+video slideshow of our road trip. We love spending time with family!

Peter's at work the next 2 days then on Wednesday he's going to ride out to the boarder and shoot birds on the opening day of the season. Then he's back on duty Saturday and Sunday-night shifts!
