Peter & Biola Nursing

Today was a great day. We finally heard some much needed fabulous news. Since last December Peter has been battling the Biola Nursing department for 4 points he earned but did not justly receive on his final exam which therefore caused him to fail Nursing Research which he had an 83% in. Yes, it is as ridiculous as it sounds. For months he has met with his professor multiple times, prepared thick packets providing evidence for his case and demonstrating his knowledge, spoke in front of a panel of faculty members, ETC.  Despite all efforts, they determined he needed to retake the class ($$$) which postponed when he could take state boards which then affected when he could get a nursing job. Huge ramifications for 4 points he earned but was denied.
Tonight we had a conference call with the chair of nursing and was told they found an error on the department's fault which impacted Peter's experience in the class. As a result he does not need to retake the class, is able to take boards on time and can begin searching for nursing jobs! He just needs to do a little remediation before graduation. Much, much better result. Still a compromise from what we were asking for but we gladly accepted!

We are looking forward to May 29th so we can celebrate 5 years of extremely hard work!
We are looking forward to displaying our diplomas together in our apartment in their fancy frames.
