Remember when or for some of you, "Did you know...?"
I once owned turtles. Sam Woo & Dragon. We bought them in China town. It was illegal to have such a pet in a Biola dorm and I was living with the RA (resident assistant). They only lasted a week or two and then we sold them to another Biola student who was eager to house them illegally. :)
Peter gave me a ring for my first Christmas present. Considering we started dating January 1, 2006 this was nearly an anniversary. I was so excited. It's been on my right hand since he gave it to me. It wasn't a promise ring or anything. I just wanted a piece of jewelry I could always wear from him.
Peter takes Molly backpacking.
Peter's got a whopper size family. I soon will too.
Love it.
Peter loves building dams at Forest Home.
Peter and I first met in high school. The summer before Sophomore year we went on a missions trip to Mexico. I had a crush on him that week because he was the cutest guy on the trip. Never thought about him once we got home though. By the end of senior year we were saying hi when we passed each other at church because we somehow knew we were the two Biola people but that was it. When I got to Biola and knew no one though...it was "Oh, ya, I know Peter! We go way back!" It's amazing how that works...
Peter first went on a GYRAD (get your roommate a date) with my roommate, Heidi. I was hurt he asked her but I wasn't quite sure why I was hurt because I didn't think I liked him (uh, duh!). Heidi knew I liked him and felt terrible he asked her. Peter knew who I was. He wanted to see what Heidster was like. Well, it was pretty clear the personalities were poorly suited which worked out great for me because I could date him and they could be friends! :) I have since been his GYRAD date for the remainder of his college career. :)
One time Peter, Heidi and I went to a Halloween costume party. When we walked through the door the music seemed to stop. We were the only ones in costume. Everyone was 5-10 years older than us and we were the dorks in the cowboy get-up and antique Biola baseball jersey (Heidi). Once we got over the shock it was pretty hilarious. Definitely felt like a prank was pulled on us.
We love all things water--sailboats, waterfall repelling, beach, pool, sea doos, catamarans, etc.
Peter got me concrete for my 20th birthday. Oh and red roses.
OK, fine...it was to make a mosaic. :)
This is what we would look like if we adopted two Rwandan boys.
This sink started randomly bubbling up one time when I was teaching 30 fifth graders in Downey. It was pretty hilarious. We all just looked over and watched it grow in amazement. Then I tried to stop it and regain their attention. Challenging.
We went on a dinner cruise in Long Beach harbor.
We went to Yosemite in the summer of 2006 and haven't been back together since. We're workin' on it.
Ok, if you have made it this far, congrats! You have read through 4.25 years of history.
love to all,
