The Home Depot Experience-- a flop

Today we went to the Home Depot in effort to create our/aka Peter's registry. After being redirected to several different people and counters we finally arrived at the right place only to hear, "Oh, bridal registry? I have never done that before." Multiple people proceeded to work on a computer and try to figure out how to set one up. We stood their watching in awe for about 20 minutes. Apparently you have to create two separate registries--one for the bride, one for the groom. So either we just cancel one and hope people search just for Peter or keep them both and add everything to each list and hope we don't get doubles. :)
Next they handed us a piece of paper and a pen. The paper had about 10 lines on it for us to walk around the store and write down the SKU number and other information about each product we wanted to add to our registry in this massive warehouse. Ha! We decided to skip that and do it at home online.
Well, here we are, sitting side by side on the couch...a computer on each lap and we can't find the "registry" on the Home Depot site. It doesn't even come up when you search for it. Peter finally found it after googling "Home Depot wedding registry". Now that's bad. Our names do not appear yet...guess it takes some time to be implemented into the system (but honestly I wouldn't be surprised if the lady signed us up for garden club). So, who knows if it will work out....if we hadn't already printed it on the wedding invitations we would have switched to Lowe's by now. :) Peter just called customer care, you can't shop on line for us but you can go to the store and print out our registry.
Before we left the store Peter got some information on air compressors. He found one he likes. It's as tall as me. I guess we can put it on his side of the bed...or in the shower....or next to the TV...maybe it could serve as a coat rack....oh wait, I already have one of those. :) I'm excited for him. There are plenty of things I'm registered for that I have no room to store....That's the fun of it right?

We went to Disneyland and the Cheesecake Factory the other day for our Valentine's Day celebration. Loved it of course.
Happy Love Day!
