Baldy Trip Report

After finally wrapping up classes for the fall I was able to get back to my favorite mountain. Saturday afternoon Andrew and I hiked up a little known route to make camp just above the snow level at 8,000 ft.

Waking up at 6:15 we picked up camp and donned our new crampons (steel spikes for your shoes) and headed directly to the 10,000 foot summit miles above.

It was a fantastic trip and I am so glad winter is in full swing. Hope you enjoy the view.
