Last Sunday

Well, it is my last "Sunday night" of college. These use to be so stressful. All the assignments I worked so hard to put off finally reached the breaking point....scrambling to find the brain power to complete them at the last minute. There were a few nervous break downs along the way but Heidi was not only a wonderful roommate but a very supportive good friend. The Disneyland firework show just ended, the train has not been by yet this hour to rattle my house (literally, rattle), a roommate is doing dishes, the TV is sleeping, the trampoline in the backyard has been disassembled and sold, the final rent check cashed, my walls are bare and bookshelves cleared. It really is ending. I am not sad yet but I would imagine the mourning process will begin shortly. I have spent the last 16 weeks at Rio San Gabriel in Downey and I know I will miss driving there every morning, despite the unfortunate morning traffic. My teacher is throwing a going away party which will be an exciting last hoorah. Peter came into my class the other day and spoke to my kids. He did a phenomenal job and they hung onto his every word. We then went to El Taco for lunch. Peter finishes his senior year tomorrow afternoon which is very exciting. His summer renter and next year's housing is all squared away. Praise Jesus for that. We are looking forward to the beach, using our Disneyland passes, spending time with family, and planning our wedding and marriage this summer! Here we go! The ending and a new beginning!
